We have a lot to celebrate!

A lot of exciting things happened this year. The East Bay Community Energy Board of Directors approved $5.1 Million dollars for the coming year for implementing the Local Development Business Plan —Alameda County’s groundbreaking local Green New Deal. This plan includes programs and projects that benefit East Bay communities by investing in local renewable energy resources, reducing our energy footprint, providing local clean energy jobs, promoting social justice, and incentivizing community projects. This is a huge victory, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. Join us to celebrate, learn more, and get involved!
And, as always, we’ll be asking for your financial support as well.
We’re also celebrating:
  • Awards from The League of Conservation Voters of the East Bay and the East Bay Community Energy’s Board Chair Scott Haggerty to honor LCEA’s very own Jessica Guadalupe Tovar for her local energy organizing work.
  • Contributions from  Movement Generation and Rooted in Resilience in recognition of LCEA’s leadership in democratizing energy in the East Bay
  • The recent, successful national Strategic Convening on Energy Democracy that we coordinated to advance energy democracy work across the U.S.
  • Statewide action to defend and support community-centered energy initiatives at the State Legislature and regulatory bodies.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
