Jesse Gutierrez (he/him), passionate about protecting our planet's health, thrives at the intersection of public health, environment, and policy. Equipped with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from California State University East Bay, he aims to join the CDC, or EPA as a public health analyst, shaping policies that safeguard our environment's integrity and promote equitable population health.
Born in Los Angeles, then blossoming in the East Bay's natural beauty. The majestic Muir Mountains, Oakland Redwoods, and Golden Gate Bridge vistas fostered his deep connection with nature, fueling his studies at Diablo Valley College, where he earned two Associate's degrees: Allied Health and Natural Science.
This passion translates into action. At La Clinica De La Raza, Jesse enrolled numerous members of the community into MediCal, guided Spanish-speaking patients through the healthcare system, and conducted vital outreach efforts. Currently, he works with Local Clean Energy Alliance and the city of Hayward, educating residents about home electrification to combat climate change.
Beyond academics, Jesse enjoys live music, comedy, and video games. He values connecting with others and welcomes opportunities to discuss environmental issues and public health initiatives.
