Local Clean Energy Meeting - SEE Green Careers Talk

Join us at the February Local Clean Energy Alliance meeting on Thursday, February 12th from 6-8p.

At this month's meeting, Ron San Miguel of SunEnergy will speak about SEE Green Careers, a new Green Jobs initiative in the East Bay.

SEE Green Careers is a Bay Area green jobs collaborative initiative, designed to train young adults (ages 18-24) for certification as Photovoltaic Panel (Solar Panel) Installers and subsequently place trainees in entry-level jobs. Collaborative partners include Spanish Speaking Citizens’ Foundation (SSCF), The English Center, YMCA of the East Bay Urban Services, Rising Sun Energy Center, and SunEnergy, Inc.

The SEE Green Careers training is a 5– week Solar Installer training program for young adults. Trainees learn all the necessary skills to get an Entry-Level Solar Installer job, including 72 hours of Solar Installation training, 42 hours of Energy Efficiency and Customer Service skills and 42 hours of Employment Readiness training. The Solar Panel Installer Training Program also includes industry standard certification and job placement services. Our goal is to place every participant who completes the program and passes the certification test in an entry-level Solar Panel Installation job.
