Conference Sponsor Outreach Volunteer

The Local Clean Energy Alliance (LCEA), the Bay Area's largest clean energy coalition, with 90 affiliated member organizations, including environmental justice, social justice, environmental, business, and community groups, seeks a motivated and organized Conference Sponsor Outreach Volunteer.  This is a great opportunity to gain experience on energy policy advocacy while providing needed assistance in securing sponsors for our annual Clean Power, Healthy Communities conference this fall. This position is out of the LCEA’s office in downtown Oakland, though much of the work can be performed off site.

This volunteer position is supervised by the LCEA Coordinator. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Reach out to potential sponsors of the LCEA's Clean Power, Healthy Communities conference
  • Participate in meetings of the conference sponsorship committee
  • Represent LCEA on phone and in-person meetings

Qualifications:

  • A passion for the clean power, healthy communities perspective of the LCEA
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good marketing and fundraising skills
  • Responsible, very organized, and detail-oriented
  • Quick learner who is interested in learning about local renewable energy systems, sustainable development, community resilience, and social justice
