Julienne Vinculado with People's Solar Energy Fund is a senior at Wake Forest University, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science, along with minors in Environmental Science, Entrepreneurship, and Bioethics.
Upon graduation in May 2024, she plans to gain experience in environmental and sustainability entrepreneurship and research for a few years, exploring various opportunities in the field before applying to graduate programs in sustainability management.
Julienne's recent experience includes a summer undergraduate research position with the National Science Foundation at Florida International University, where she worked in a tropical fish ecology lab. Additionally, she has volunteered in her university's campus gardens to promote sustainable agriculture.
She is currently working with the People's Solar Energy Fund, learning about the workings and regulations of community solar projects, and is partnered with the Local Clean Energy Alliance. Through this partnership, Julienne aims to work closely with Nyah and contribute to local community solar initiatives in the Bay Area, especially with underrepresented communities.
In her leisure time, Julienne enjoys baking and has recently taken up Brazilian jiu-jitsu!
