Clean Power to the People Workshops en Español

LCEA’s organizers Jessica Tovar and Nyah Tisdell have hosted a series of regional workshops in Spanish on utility debt relief and equitable clean energy resources for Mujeres Unidas y Activas. 

“Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA) is a grassroots organization of Latina immigrant women with a dual mission of promoting personal transformation and building community power for social and economic justice.”

 

Oftentimes the communities who are most negatively affected by energy injustices are given the least access to important information. It is necessary to make sure that resources around access to renewable and affordable electricity are accessible to Spanish speaking communities.
